So here’s what happened. Not long ago, my Introduction To Literature class was taking an exam. I’d left my laptop at home, the computer in my classroom wasn’t working, and I had neither reading material on hand nor writing ideas in mind.
So I started listing movies I’d seen. I’d been thinking for a while that such a list might be handy when I found myself at loose ends in terms of what movie I felt like reviewing. I hadn’t listed too many before another misguided notion popped into my head.
Why not try to list every horror movie I’ve ever seen and post that list on the blog?
Hey, I’ve seen (and done) dumber things.
About 100 movies later, I thought, “Well hell, if I’m gonna go to all the trouble of listing them, I might as well rate them while I’m at it.” So I added a somewhat overly detailed, somewhat even more convoluted rating system. As of this posting, I’ve listed 330 movies. If you assume an average of 90 minutes per movie, that’s 29,700 minutes. Seems like a lot.
Or 495 hours. Also seems like a lot.
Or 20.625 days. Almost a mere 3 weeks. Not so much after all really.
Okay, that’s only the horror movies. And that’s only so far. But still.
The point is, for your dining and dancing pleasure, I give you:
This is a great list. Thanks for the many viewing ideas!
