And here we are, true believers! Horror 365–this little One Year/One Post A Day project, has reached its first 100 posts (around 65,000 words so far)! Naturally, the only thing to do on such an occasion is to round up My 100 Favorite Horror Movies for your dining and dancing pleasure. Hard it was to narrow down a mere 100 from the 1170-some movies I’ve listed on The Neverending Movie List. I had to make some tough choices. One thing I reluctantly did was cut some of my favorite movies which, though on The Neverending Movie List, are really only there for some horror scenes or elements. For instance, even with the skeletons that terrified me as a wee lad, Jason And The Argonauts is not on here. Despite one of the creepiest endings in all cinema, neither is Sunset Boulevard.
You get the idea.
I’ve tried to cover as wide a range as I reasonably could, including horror comedy, black comedy, etc. There’s some really good stuff on here, and some really bad stuff also too as well. Like really bad. Like spectacularly bad. The kind of stuff we here at Castle Blogferatu love so awfully much.

There’s so much to say, but first of all: congratulations! You sure Arsenic and Old Lace is a horror movie? I mean, it’s one of my favorites, but since I was a kid I found it funny, not scary. Glad to know you’ve seen Matango too 😉 Great list, I mean it.

Well, I was including horror comedy, so Arsenic And Old Lace definitely qualifies I think. Thanks 🙂
